In New Jersey, in 1766, at James Parker's press at Woodbridge, William Goddard printed a. Single number of The Constitutional Cou-rant, directed against the stamp-act, of which a large edition was sold by hawkers in New York. In this year James Parker removed his press temporarily to Burlington, and there printed Samuel Smith's History of the Colony of Nova Caesaria or new-jersey, the only work printed in Burlington before Isaac Collins permanently established his press there in 1770. In 1766, at Woodbridge, Samuel Franklin Parker, James Parker's nephew, printed David Ogden's The Claim of the inhabitants of the Town of Newark: in virtue of the Indian purchase made by the first settlers of Newark, in 1667, stated and considered and, in 1767, Ogden's To the several persons claiming under the Indian purchase, called the Mountain, Horsneck and Van Gieson purchases, of which only a single copy is known. In that year, William Goddard printed, at Philadelphia, John Hunt's Bill in the Chancery of new-jersey against William, Earl of Stirling. And others. In July, 1768, Governor William Franklin, of new-jersey, and lieutenant-governor John Penn, of Pennsylvania, both issued proclamations of the robbery of the Eastern Treasury, but no action appears to have been taken \until the session of the Assembly in 1772. In 1769, James Parker printed in New York, A Brief of the claim, of new-jersey, and the proof ofered in support of it, before the commissioners, for settling the boundary line, between new-jersey and New York. In 1773, Isaac Collins printed Robert Barclay's Bill in the Chancery of new-jersey, against William, Ea/rl of Stirling, and others.
